For designing a website one has to consider its purpose, goal or objective.

The term ‘Web Design’ indicates to a vast area of different skills and disciplines in the production and maintenance of websites. The different branches of web design include web graphic design; interface design; authoring, including standardized code and proprietary software; user experience design and search engine optimization. Actually the term is normally used to describe the design process relating to the ‘front-end (client side)’ design of a website including ‘writing mark up’.

As 21st century starts the web has become more and more integrated and influential into peoples lives. The technology of the web has also moved with it at the same pace. Usage and access behavior of people has also been changed. Web designers have started using variety of different tools depending on what part of the production process they are involved in. These tools are being updated over time by newer technologies, standards and software but the objectives are always the same. Search engine optimization tools are used to check search engine ranking and suggest improvements.

For designing a website one has to consider its purpose, goal or objective. There may be different purposes for making a website; product marketing, awareness, service providing, information sharing etc. Marketing website may help to identify what should be done for the target market. This can be done by targeting and dragging an age group or particular strand of culture; so the designer has to understand the trends of its audience. How a user gets used to with the system or how they understand how they can interact on a site depends on the interactive design of the website. The decision of a user about his/ her own perception will help them more likely to continue using the website or else. Skilled users who are well versed with website use may find a more unique, yet less intuitive or less user-friendly website interface useful obviously.
